With its size, the company UNIPRESS, spol. s.r.o. belongs to the middle-sized printing works with an extensive tradition. The main technology is offset and digital printing. The printing company is also equipped with various machines for varied final and binding treatment. The products of the firm are especially mercantile printed matters, e.g. catalogues, prospectuses, annual reports, leaflets, textbooks, paper bags etc. A considerable part of the printed papers finds its application abroad through renowned domestic firms. Within the history stretching for over a decade, we have built a stable position in the market of polygraphic products, especially thanks to the efforts to adapt to the dynamic technical development in the polygraphic field in the world. Maintaining the growth conditions of the company is conditioned by continuous improvement of efficiency of the management system of the company and creating prerequisites for yet more perfect satisfaction of the needs and expectations of the clients, all that with respect to the protection of the environment.

On the basis of increasing competitiveness and efforts for continuous improvement, the management of the firm has decided to control quality of our production and management of the organization and to minimize possible risks of pollution of any aspect of the environment by the implementation of the integrated system pursuant to the standard ČSN EN ISO 9001 and ČSN EN ISO 14001. Continuous improvement of the system inherently belongs to the priorities of the firm; protection of the environment and creating safe working conditions for our employees as well as their motivation and responsibility for work are a matter-of-course for us. The management issued the basic principles of the approach:

• Provide required sources for functioning of all processes in the organization. Manage quality of our own processes as well as processes of the contact with customers and subcontractors in a friendly environment so that the processes are as close as possible to the optimum with respect to economic efficiency and achieved effects. When achieving the objectives, be focused on the identification, understanding and management of mutually related processes as a system.

• Meet the requirements of applicable legal regulations and other requirements, which apply to our activity and not only in the area of the environment. Our products and services shall comply with the specified standards, requirements of the customer and, of course, with all safety standards, laws and regulations.

• Maintain and develop the internal environment, in which the employees can be fully engaged in the achievement of the objectives of the organization. With the use of systematic training of employees, support the integrated system and maintain awareness of its functioning on all managerial levels.

• Continually search for possibilities of decreasing consumption of energies and natural resources and within the process of system improvement, strive for minimizing incompliance, negative impacts of own activities, products and services on the environment.

• Strive for prevention of occurrence of emergency situations, pollution and waste and have procedures for such situations, which ensure limitation of negative impacts on the environment.

• Assess the impacts on the environment in case of a change of technology even before its implementation.

• Develop co-operation with such suppliers and subcontractors, whom we can adequately trust and whom we can also influence so that they would also be environmentally friendly and comply with the quality parameters required by us.

		These principles shall be reflected in all activities of ours, on all levels of management, which means that all employees of ours shall be identified with them and support their achievement. Objectives and programmes are declared for specific achievements.
